Excellent contrib Craig. A couple of ideas for your "How To" documentation for dummies..
Perhaps install would be more clear if a couple of instructions were more explicit. Such as:
16. Remove the install directory, like this:
rm -rf /home/e-smith/files/ibays/Primary/html/catalog/install
17. Change permissons on the configure.php file, like this:
chmod 444 /home/e-smith/files/ibays/Primary/html/catalog/includes/configure.php
